So basically, she will stay in no matter what! 7 more weeks. SEVEN, long, dreadful, more excruciating weeks. It might just be 3 more months if it goes all the way to the Convention. Like the Democratic party can afford to be bickering and fighting, while McCain is officially the Republican nominee and will start campaigning for the general election.

Go Away Hilary Clinton, we want Barak Obama    Just Go Away!
_

Yes, she did win Ohio (56-42). Obama won Vermont, she won Rhode Island and Texas is too close too call (50-48, which doesn’t really matter since neither really technically win since the numbers will be too close). In the end, he still won more delegates than her tonight. That’s the flip side. She won the popular vote by a couple thousands, but he won more delegates tonight. So I hand it to her, she did ride the momentum wave tonight and is trying to make it seem like she is the comeback kid! Not just yet. In a day or two, we’ll be clear about the delegate count. All in all, he still maintains the same delegate lead over her. The argument out there was either a loss or a split, she should drop out, since technically, THERE IS NO WAY she can catch up to him. It’s like these elections did not really matter (in delegates count), only they give Clinton an extra push to justify staying the course. In the words of David Axelrod (Obama’s campaign strategist), “Tonight’s vote has not put a dent in Sen Obama’s delegate lead.”

It’s 11:38. Obama is speaking. Of course he acknowledges her win and congratulates (which she wouldn’t have).   Powerful speech, especially sending troops where it matters (Sudan, Afghanistan…) and making America what it used to be. Technically, he’s conceding, but still ahead.

So to do the maths, going into the primaries and caucus last night:

Delegate count (includes supers)

Obama 1319
Clinton: 1250

Difference: 69 (in favor of Obama)

The results AFTER last night’s contests:

Obama: 1451
Clinton: 1365

Difference: 86 (in favor of Obama)
(Total does not include TX caucus results, which is believed to favor him, even Clinton doesn’t dispute that!)

About 10,000 people a day switched to Obama from Clinton in Texas and Ohio – despite the everything including the Clinton attacks, the constant Clinton spin, the throw everything kitchen sink strategy, voter irregularities – and still more than 10,000 people a day in those two states shifted away (335,000 in 30 days).

Ultimately, it’s TIME for a nominee for the democratic party. It is undeniable that going negative helped her in this last leg of the race, and unfortunately she will ante up her rhetoric. That helps her campaign, but not the democratic party overall. Democrats can’t afford a brokered convention in August. You’d think with all the party change America has been asking for since giving Democrats majority in Congress, they’d take advantage of “Bush fatigue”. They might just find a way to mess it all up in the end if this race goes to the Convention. For Democrats to loose yet another election.

Democrats need to look at the bigger picture. And that bigger picture is the White House.
